Kevin Hinman and his wife, Carol, founded Leadership Training International in 1992. Kevin has been serving in business and ministry since 1980, and has traveled to over 70 nations for ministry service. He has provided training and equipping to over 80,000 leaders on five continents.
Kevin’s business background includes graduating from General Electric’s intensive management training program. While at GE, he worked in the Government and Commercial sectors. He later served as a contracted training specialist for US Navy aircrew, using the train-the-trainer technique and serving as the TQM Manager for the production of 150 government courses.
Kevin has a diverse ministry background. He has served in the various roles of Youth, Interim and Senior Pastor and was also an Evangelist with the Young Life Ministry. One of Kevin’s primary giftings is with Evangelism. He has led many people to Christ and has also written a course on Personal Evangelism.
Kevin has been personally mentored by several world-class ministry leaders. He interned and traveled extensively with Evangelist Luis Palau. He experienced separate year-long mentoring relationships with CBN President Michael Little, Focus on the Family Board Member, Bobb Biehl, and INJOY Group Founder John Maxwell.
Kevin has a unique blend of business, military training, ministry and mentoring experience. He has a deep passion for multiplying ministry leaders worldwide, and is able to pursue that vision and dream through the LTI ministry. Kevin is also a business consultant, specializing in organizational leadership and mentoring future company Presidents.
Kevin is an ordained minister with New Life Ministries International. In addition to his General Electric Management Program credentials, Kevin holds a Master of Divinity degree and an MA in Journalism. Kevin and Carol have three children and live in Chesapeake, VA.
Carol co-founded the LTI ministry with her husband, Kevin. She serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Board Treasurer for LTI. Carol manages the finances, annual audit, and ECFA annual renewal.
Carol’s educational background has served well for her role with the LTI ministry. She holds master’s degrees in both World Missions and Non-Profit Business Management. Her education and experience helped guide LTI into acceptance and accreditation with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, one of the most highly respected stewardship and accountability organizations for non-profit ministries.
Carol is also passionate about dance and music. She has over 25 years experience as a ballet instructor and dance choreographer. She trains intermediate and advanced ballerinas, many of whom have gone to prestigious dance programs around the country.
Carol is a committed wife and mother. She stays busy raising the three Hinman children. She has been a Home School teacher and successfully prepared the children for advance academic studies at the high school and college level.
